Seen Star Trek twice now, really good stuff and would recommend it highly.
Angels & demons, switch your brain off and enjoy it for the nonsense. Also Tom Hanks's hair acts better this time than in Da Vinci.

Finally watched 'Let the right one in'. Swedish Vampire film. Really good and original. Highly recommend!
I am really looking forward to Terminator Salvation next month. Just got the new Empire mag and they rated it an 'Excellent' 4 out of 5 stars. I agree with Empire for the most part so this is good news for me!

Watched 'Drag me to Hell' lastnight. Funny, scary and cool, I loved it! It's a recommendation from me but I have a feeling it's one of those love or hate movies. Would like to hear people opinions on it. Any Evil Dead fans here? As a Terminator fan boy I have done a bit of reading up on the new Salvation movie and with that have come across some lil' spoils here and there. One thing has really bugged me out! I'm not going to go into details until people and myself have seen it but there is an aspect of Skynet that I really do not like the sound of at all! * Big boy strop!*

Terminator was alright. Transformers 2 was meh. First one was better imo but Megan Fox is always worth seeing on the big screen. ;D Bruno. Downloaded this one and glad I did. Much prefered Borat. Went out lastnight to watch a film I have been keeping an eye on for a while, MOON. Fantastic film and a true recommendation. My film of the year so far I think!

Ice age 3 is very good with the usual adult innuendo to keep parents amused, although film good in it's own right.

Couple of older classics my wife and I rewatched recently:
Dog Day Afternoon - classic 1970s Al Pacino dramatic comedy true life heist thriller; also stars the always brilliant and much-missed John "Fredo" Cazale.
Once Upon a Time in the West - Sergio Leone, Charles Bronson; epic, operatic.

Watched "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" last night on Telly, just because there was nothing else on and... wow! Loved it. I am buying that one on DVD as soon as I find a copy Modern day setting, but a Western, over the top, black humour, great music... 9/10 from me.

Zombie Land kicks ass! Cracking pop-corn movie. If you like Zombie films and comedies - Zom-Coms if you like - you should love this one.
;D
Anyone seem Pandorum or Bruce Willis in Surrogates? I quite fancy those.

Yeah great film Bic. Also one of my recommendations for this year.
2009 has been a pretty damn good year for films. Looking forward to James Cameron's next block buster - Avartar!

Yeah great film Bic. Also one of my recommendations for this year. 2009 has been a pretty damn good year for films. Looking forward to James Cameron's next block buster - Avartar! Yeah I second (or third) that Let the Right One In is superb, probably one of the best films I've seen in ages. I watched Solaris (the Clooney version) for the first time the other night, also a superb movie. Re Avatar I saw a 15 min preview of this at the Odeon during the Summer. Not 100% sure about it, the mix of CG and real actors looked a bit dodgy as the alien creatures looked a bit 'Disney' and jarring in the real sets. However, once it gets going the whole film looks more animated so that helps and there were some exciting action sequences...will have to wait and see I guess but I can't help but think of the disappointment of the Phantom Menace and the dreaded Ja Ja Binks!!
