Hot Fuzz - fantastic film, Mr Biscitt. A kind of Midsummer Murders done in the style of Michael Bay. At the risk of sounding redundant, Simon Pegg, who co-wrote the film along with director Edgar Wright, had the same roles in the hilarious British sitcom, Spaced. Exactly the same kind of humour but the television series had an extra twist of surrealism. Essentially, if you enjoyed Hot Fuzz (and presumably Shaun of the Dead), you'll love Spaced.

This and Life of Brian are my two favourite comedy films of all time, so many good lines.
'We're just hoping to talk to the last people to see Mr Merchant alive. Namely a Sergeant Knickerless Ass-wipe and Cuntstable Fanny Batterbum.' ;D ;D

Monsters Vs Aliens.................Another classic from the makers of shrek etc. Good viewing for the kids and us adults as well. We took the kids today and thoroughly enjoyed, and obviously there is a game demo on live to play as well.

Watched Defiance on DVD over the weekend...excellent film if a little bit too long.
Starring Daniel Craig and Jamie Bell(Billy Elliott) it's the true story about a group of brothers who set up a refugee camp for Jews trying to escape the holocaust.
Not quite a Schindler's List but still an enjoyable film showing the struggle against the elements, starvation, personal conflicts and will to survive against the odds. 8/10 (Would be 9/10 if it were 20 mins shorter)

New star trek film is EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!! (Max & me saw it tonight) All the characters where as you would expect them to be when they where young and with a bit of attitude. A light hearted story with all the drama and action you need. watch out for the ultimate in sky diving and superb cgi which being nervous of heights myself added realism in the drill scene, wo ho mind that edge and don't look down. A must see film for any sci fi fan!

As mav has already pointed out - super film - 2 hrs of action and interest, unlike some films 2 hrs long where the script write has a 15 min beak in the film and nothing happens!
CGI was top draw- as it should be Characters- As you would imagine them to be 20+ years junior and nothing to cheesey

I went to see Star Trek myself on Saturday and found it a good fun pop corn movie but feel I lack the same enthusiasm as above.
It was really entertaining being reintroduced to the young n fresh but classic crew members but although one part of film that really spoilt the rest for me was....
*** Sorry I don't normally do this but SPOILER ALERT! ***
The scene where Kirk was ejected onto the snow planet to run into the pointless Lucas-like pointless Monster and then all too conveniently bumping into stranded old Spook and then Scotty all within walking distance was all a bit too much for me to like.
That said, still a good fun film and would recommend for all big kids in the family.

Haven't seen the Star Trek film myself (and probably never will) but I thought I'd pass on this funny Onion video, whereby Star Trek fans denounce the new film as being, "fun, watchable." Enjoy, you nerds! www.theonion.com/content/video/trekkies_bash_new_star_trek_film?utm_source=a-section"If I wanted to see young, attractive people doing cool and exciting things, I'd watch sports." "Where was the heavy-handed message about tolerance?"
