Dingussae, What package have you got with Sky? How far are you from the exchange? Anyway here's my result. I'm with PlusNet. I'm a long way from the exchange but I've seen the Virgin advert saying they've got broadband that copes with that. Anyone got any experience with them? I'm thinking they're talking about their normal cable connections not the BT phone wires. If they mean their own cables then that's no good for me as they don't run to my house.

Im on Broadband Max with Sky and Im about half a mile away from the exchange If you already have a good Sky package you can get Sky Max for a tenner, which is rather bloody cheap considering the speed I get - and its never really been less than 8mb With Virgin though, they are pretty much was NTL used to be - they don't offer a broadband service through standard phone lines, they have to have the cables going to your house (i think thats the case anyway)

Cheers,
That's what I thought about NTL, oops sorry, I meant Virgin.
Damn, Ill have to wait until they put in 21CN or perhaps I should move next door to the BT exchange.

Well I'm up and running on ADSL24 and here's my latest test... Pretty pleased with this considering I was only on about 0.7mb before!

I’m looking at changing provider as I’m with plus.net at the moment and I’m meant to get up to 8mb, but I rarely get higher than 2mb.
I can’t get cable and already have sky, what providers out there are decent?
