My first foray was this Binatone thing which you could play, tennis, squash, and something else on, but they were all the same with the addition or exclusion of a wall! the controls were rectangle things with a dial on them! then 16k speccy. My fave is the Xbox tho'!

Thinking about it, i also love most things Nintendo and have owned 3 Gameboys, a SNES, a N64 and a Cube... But ( and this might not be a popular suggestion) I think they should do a Sega and consentrate on software from now on... and maybe the handhelds.... Also some one said Amiga! I spent the best part of 2 years playing Sensible world of soccer on one, multiplayer, one of the best games ever... I don't really "collect" video game stuff but I do buy alot and hoard it... i've still got a Atari ST, the Amiga ( which is broken ), the SNES, the BBC micro (also malfunctioning) 3 PCs of varying crapness, an original massive Gameboy, an SP, a Lynx, a Playstation, a Saturn, an Xbox and latest and most cool, a PSP.... Never touch any of the old ones, just can't throw them away.....

Right this will blow your mind, My dad worked for sinclair at the time of production of the ZX81 so I have one of those and the 2000 lines of code that it takes to make a man jump up and down on the screen. But even before that I have got a Dragon 32. But here is a complete run down and I still have them all. Dragon 32, ZX81, Spectrum 48K, Spectrum 128K +2, Amstrad CPC464, Commodore 64, Master system, megadrive, snes, gameboy, atari lynx, Amiga 500 with 5000 games, amiga CD32, nintendo 64, playstation one, ps 2, xbox, PC, think i've missed some out somewhere amongst that but thats most of them.

Well, I have the dubious distinction of being old enough to have played and owned most of the consoles and home computers in the last 20 years or so (ouch!!), but I have to admit, my favourite console, not including XBox, would have to be the SNES (metroid rocked!!), but my favourite game was Starwars Dark Forces on the Megadrive with that funny 64bit attachment that you used to plug into the top of it.
Elite on the 8bit micros is worth an honourable mention too!!

My First games machine was a Binatone thingy in '79 with Pong style graphics. Then i was given a VCS2600 with Space Invaders for Xmas a year later. Favourite game was probably Paradroid on C64 or Nights into Dreams on the Saturn, which was also my favourite console.
