My First games machine was a Binatone thingy in '79 with Pong style graphics. Then i was given a VCS2600 with Space Invaders for Xmas a year later. Favourite game was probably Paradroid on C64 or Nights into Dreams on the Saturn, which was also my favourite console. ;D Nights into Dreams ;D Such a brilliant game. Loved the music. I've still got it, unfortunately my Saturn died about a year ago. The Saturn is a class machine with some great games. Some of my favorites are: Athlete Kings Dark Saviour Guardian Heroes Virtua Fighter II Fighting Vipers Sega Rally Street Fighter Alpha 2 I really must pull my finger out and repair/replace my Saturn.

My first was the atari home console thingy with the oh so stylish mock wooden front. Wish i had kept it boxed as i think they are worth a bit now. Can remember being amazed by the cool graphics lol as i had only seen pong before on a t.v. Next up was various spectrums, what a machine that was. Text adventure games galore, football director and an Alien game based on the second film i think. Now i can remember that the graphics on that one were way ahead of its time and i think it was the first fps i played. There was then a long period of messing around with booze, cars, bikes and girls which deflected my attention from gaming until i got a mighty megadrive lol. Lots of cool games on that one and my fixation with driving games started with super monaco gp 1&2. Finally dragged myself into the modern era with a pc and became addicted to grand prix 2 and age of empires. The rest, a few new pc's, playstation and ending with the mighty xbox. 360 is next though i will probably wait till after xmas or when Halo 3 comes out to get it.
Biggest regret with gaming - Never played elite in its various forms. Would have loved that game i think. There was rumours of a new version for xbox a while ago.

When I used to have an Amiga A500, there are two games that I loved more than anything, one was Drakken and the other one was It Came from the Desert, I really wish they would do a remke of them, or even on the retro classic games that pop up from time to time on the newer consoles...

First computer was Speccy 128k+2, first console was Sega Master System. My favourite is probably a toss-up between the SNES, Mega Drive, PC Engine or the Saturn. I still play reguarly on all 4 as they house some of my fave games of all time(castlevania 4, thunder force 3, parasol stars, batsugun...). If pushed, i'd have to plump for the MD purely for nostalgic reasons. I'd saved up 10 weeks of pocket money to buy one. Then, with the arrival of the SNES, it was the most exciting time for gaming i've ever experienced. Every month i'd rush down to the newsagent's to pick up my cherished copy of 'Mean Machines', and there seemed to be a classic game released each month that you just had to get your grubby mitt's on! Its not that i don't appreciate the games of today, but...they were some great days.

My first console was an Atari VCS 2600 cost me a fortune back in the day and I still have it. Still haven't completed Raiders of the Lost Ark(or was it Temple of Doom)!
First computer the Oric Atmos what a waste of money.

Hmmm... bit of a noob compared to you guys! First "console" was a Binatone that played Pong... late 70s/v eraly 80s I guess. Then forgot about gaming and discovered skaetboarding, music, drink, girls, recreational pharmaceuticals (sp!) etc etc etc! Next real console was the legendary Mega Drive... loved Super Monaco, Flashback, Fifa, PGA Golf! Then it was a PS1... Gran Turismo, Silent Hill, Medal of Honor! And now Xbox! And looking forward to future gaming... 360 and beyond!

Has anyone ever heard of the Action Max on the box it says "The First Real Action Game System" and consists of a video tape and an electronic pistol controller you use to shoot at the TV screen and headset. I found this in the roof space when we moved into the house. Never played it, date unknown but obviously pre consoles.

Don't quit your job just yet Biscitt! Not really a real antique classic... www.vidgame.net/Action_Max/actionmax.htmI remember it when it came out. Wasnt really in the position to compete with the console big dogs (Nintendo and Sega). It did look fun tho. Games on VHS, completly bonkers! My first Computer was an Amstrad. Can't remember the model but it had a green monitor and the games were on cassette tapes. (Never really helped with my homework ) My real first console was the Nintendo's N.E.S(Did have a hand-me-down Atari before). I loved it the original N.E.S until it developed that cappy fault where you had to blow into the console and game cartridge to get it to work. If i forget about the xbox for a moment i would say my favorite console would have to be the Sega Dreamcast. I got it second hand and loved every minute of it. It was truly "Next Gen". It's was the first time i had ever played a game online plus what other console could you surf the net on. I always thought it was a shame it was overshadowed by Sony.

In the days of the 16k wobbly ram pack and basic (goto, print and run) this gamer rose from the ashes or 30 minute loading times past sabre wulf and jet set willy, zx80/81, vic 20, c64, cpet, dragon 32, ATARI 800 (split screen ballblazer, some great usa imports), Amiga, PC, ps1, xbox and now xbox 360. I love oblivion, tomb raider in fact adventure games, halo 1 & 2. Just got GOW wow, the yanks play hard and Live what can I say FCIP & GRAW (it shows how good a target i am), if it was not for the forums i would not of found GOF, home of the old boy/girl gamers so i am told, so here i am to say hello, thanks for the invite to join. regards, Guru Suunto. PS I would say the original Atari 800 is my favorite not that black thing they bought out afterwards. USA import games spy vs spy, montazuma revenge, little computer people by Activison (early sims), so many games to mention.

I had the old Atari 2600, some class games on that including Yars Revenge.
First Computer was the Acorn Electron.
My fav has to be the 360, one of my fav games though was Elite First Encounters on the PC after all the patches. What an amazing game. Apparently last I heard work is still being done on Elite 4 which will be on PC and 360 or what ever is out when the game is complete.
