I've got mine in DMZ but I don't know if it makes any difference to speed. Perhaps someone with a more I.T. orientated brain could answer that one?

this is yet another set of figures!! I have spoken to Virgin and they said that they use something called "interleaving" which basically means they send all packets of data twice so any that get lost on the way should arrive in duplicate! this does mean I get a very bad ping rate as it sends twice the data! so the bloke said he'll switch it off which may take a few days. then I'll test again & see what's what......

couldnt get mine to upload picture but its very simaliar to the aboce poster but with a upload of 354kbs ping is 52ms
cant remember who asked but putting your xbox in the DMZ will not affect the speedtest results but it will have an impact on your xbox live speeds. Putting it in the DMZ affectively means that your router allows all network activity between it and your 360 .Putting it in the DMZ will normally ensure that you have an Open nat and very very few problems joining other peoples games.
MOOG MATE , get virgin to sort out sending packets twice. Ping/latency is very important for xbox live. If you are having a high ping then you will often end up with laggy xbox live games and other problems with voice etc.

Cheers for info Stuey. wasn't sure if they were reeling me a story or not, but you seem to know a little about it still waiting for this nterleaving to stop...

Moog , If they get you sorted and you arn't sending packets twice then there should be no reson why you can't get your ping . latency onthat speed test down to < 100. Hope they sort it for you
