Thought I'd resurrect this thread be interested to know what people are listening to now. One of my fave albums of the mo is 'A Poet's Life' by Tim Armstrong and the best thing about it? It's free to download: www.mininova.org/tor/710817Check out: Into Action on You Tube mp3 samples available here: Hellcat RecordsOh yeah I think it's classified as Ska. Also for something completely different check out Gogol Bordello on You Tube:

Gogol Bordello are a great band ... I think one of my all time faves at the moment has to be Coheed & Cambria! Great band & greater hair! Currently my iTunes collection is spanning 113gb

Think these guys are pretty good: Kid BritishSaw them supporting The Enemy along with Twisted Wheel, also a good band, was excellent value for money that night.

A Tribe Called Quest - The Anthology is probably all you need Can she kick it? Yes she can... My suggestions for your rap-tastic enjoyment and education (and bearing in mind my bias towards West Coast rap): Straight Outta Compton - NWA Anything by Ice Cube - G. Hits probably gives a good sample of his stuff Regulate - Warren G There are lots of compilations available that feature tracks like 'California Love' by Tupac, 'Nuthin but a G-Thing' by Dr Dre & Snoop Dog, 'Fight the Power' by Public Enemy etc which I would recommend initially over solo artist albums as they will give you a better idea of what you like and what you don't. In fact for a good various artists album try Hot Joints 1 if you can still get it. Darkyoung. Growing old disgracefully...
