Hi all,
Over the past week I have been thinking about some more new stuff for the forum. Before I go ahead and add it all I figured I would let you know what to expect. So below is a list of all the changes I plan to make.
1, (Complete) The creation of a News Archive
This can be found under the Archive category, at the bottom of the forum.
2, (Complete) The Creative Corner Board will be expanded. There will be an extra board or sub-board (I haven't decided on the layout yet).
This is going to be a Creative Writing board, where people can post stories/poems or any other stuff they have written.
This will also have a Profound Proverbs threads, where people can attempt to create the next saying that will be used for years to come (maybe this is a bit to ambitious, but could be fun)
This can now be found below The Gallery (renamed Creative Corner), in the Community Area.
I also plan to add a few themed picture threads in the current Creative Corner board. These will be things like "What's your gaming area look like?", "Where we live" and "Whats the view from your nearest window?" (maybe not the last one
).
Some other themed threads may also be used as competitions, not sure what to have as prizes yet, or than recognition for great photography!
3, (Complete) A Games review board, so people can share there recommendations for what is hot and what is not!
This can now be found in The Games category.
4, (Complete) A Forum How To's board. This will have stuff like how to upload files to the GOF Gallery on Putfile and uploading avatars and pictures in posts (both of which are far easier now). This will be open for any members to add their own How To's as well.
(Complete) As a sub-board to this will be a Requests board where you will be able to request a how to that is not currently on the how to's board.
These can now be found in the Forum Stuff category above Forum Suggestions / Comments.
5, A Welcome Table, this will packed will lots of random info. Maybe the top 5 posters, a brief biog about the forum, links, member of the week/fortnight/month, the latest winner of the picture comp, staff info...... anything really!
6, A page dedicated to 360 Gamercards, so everyone can see how they rate against other members, or just see what they played last.
7, (Complete) A Preorder board, so people can see whats up and coming and say what they plan to get.

Ok thats all I can think of for now, this list will be updated if I think of anything else to add and when I have added the stuff.
I have changed the permissions of the News section, so now anyone can reply to this or any of the other news posts. So if you want something added to the list, or simply want to comment on it, feel free!
