Hello Everyone

Wow, I really hate writing introductory posts, I always feel such a plank.

Anyway! I found this site by searching for "Gears of War fun clan" or something similar on Google and ended up following a link to this forum right here. The power of the internet!

I've been into online FPS and RTS gaming on the PC for years but this Christmas I recieved a 360 as a gift and have been dabbling with Gears of War on Live. Unfortunately I'm crap at it and it gets pretty tiresome to not only get viciously chainsawed/shotgunned/curb stomped but also called "dumb British fag". I mean I don't even smoke!

I also have an absolute fascination with retro games - playing things like Smash TV, Gauntlet and Street Fighter II again have brought back foggy memories of standing in line at my local amusements clutching a bag of 10 and 20ps!

Anyway I would like to have the chance to meet some of you folks. At the moment i end up bouncing from server to server to server trying to find a fun one and sometimes never make it.

Well if you're looking for fun on Xbox Live then you've just hit the jackpot mate! We are a clan that has been built around the very premise of fun, being rubbish and also very old. However the only definite pre-requisite is the having fun part so on that basis I have despatched a FR your way and look forward to meeting you for some GoW mayhem. If I'm on and see you playing I'll despatch an invite to come join me and a few of us other non-competitive types for sawing and shooting action.

Hi Samurai and welcome.

Gears can either be really fun on Live or really poor if you're up against a load of kids with cat-like reflexes. Most of us on here struggle to remember which button to press to kerb stomp someone, let alone pressing it at the right time.

Send a few FRs out to people on here (remember to say where you've seen them) and hopefully you'll get pulled into a few more fun games.

Lol, can't agree more, especially when I move from Vegas to GOW, you will see all kinda special moves at inappropriate times

At the moment only Gears and Dead Rising. I also have a selection of Xbox arcade games, Smash TV, Gauntlet and Street Fighter II. I'm pretty rubbish at all those too.
