I am a 39 year old male from Dublin, and I'm looking for casual gamers to play with or against, around the same age. I play for fun and I would not consider myself a serious or very good gamer. My favourite games are Call of Duty 3 and FIFA World Cup. So far I haven't bothered to get Xbox live Gold, only had the first month free that was not a pleasant experience getting beaten by teenagers, but if I can find any like minded friends to play with I would subscribe.

You have definitely come to the right spot & I can't recommend subscribing highly enough. I was a bit dubious myself at first but have loved it as it's great once you can get the right crowd on your friends list.

I don't have either of the games you mention myself but plenty on here have CoD3. If you do sign up bung me a fr request if you have any other online stuff that matches mine

It's definitely worth considering ebay for your live subs. I managed to pick mine up for less than £20 for 12 months on a 'best offer' from an american guy. He e-mails the code across within 24 hours and you just enter into into your 360 (US codes don't work via PC for some reason) and Robert's your mother's brother!

I was a bit dubious to start with but decided to give it a go and all went very smoothly. The seller's name was 'netdirectbargains' if you're interested. Just looked and he's only got 2 or 3 month subscriptions at the moment, worth keeping an eye open though.

I have managed to get Gold xbox live subscription. I'm sure this is going to sound stupid, but what do I do next, can I just add you all to me friends list? I hope you don't mind but I also joined the Blueblood clan.

if u have a look in the gamer directory.. its in the general chat thread... there you will see a list of games and the owners... find the games you have and then send out a fr request to them.. you can do that from the box itself or st the xbox forum... also drop a msg saying where u got their name from

Yes I too hated prepubescent septics screaming down the TV screen, & joined the BlueBloods. i now havee 100 friends & happy to play any of them! when I get a chance I'll delete one or two that i haven't played in a while so I can add you. if you go to the official xbox forums & have signed in & have linked your gamer tag to your msn passport (hotmail account) you can click on the people in the BlueBloods threads & add them as friends that way. indeed any of the clans we play with will add you as friends if you let them know who you are ;D
