Hi all, I'm joining up after my partner 'sprocketcook' joined the other day! It was good to watch you all trash each other at Burnout last night and have a laugh - not like all the kids on Live who are into calling everyone 'gay' and 'pwning each other' (does anyone know what pwn means, or even how to pronounce it?!) Anyway, my real name is Paul and I'm a 30 year old web-designer. Been into games for 20 years (owned most systems) and I'm amazed I'm still no good at them!!! ;D My current gaming list is: 360 Pro Evo 6 Saints Row Ghost Recon: AW PGR3 Table Tennis Burnout Plus Halo 2 and Rainbow 6: BA from the original XBOX. pwn, pwn'd, pwning is pronounced "pown" as in own/owned/owning I apologise - but I hang out sometimes on other message boards - and it basically came about due to a typo with 'o' and 'p' being next to each other. Other common sayings include... Phail/Phailed - really there's no excuse for this one  Fission Mailed - I quite like this one j00 - you Assplodes - explodes there's more but I feel I'm showing myself up  |

I thought it was a contraction (text/net lingo) of "pawned" referring to the seemingly weakest of the chess pieces which can sometimes surprise you and turn the game. We are mere pawns in the game of life. |

HI pboreham another lincolshire gamer! I'm not too far away in Spalding (weston hills..... just like beverly hills but not so posh).
We do organise a Lan party now and again so if your interested in that sort of thing keep an eye out in the getting together section of the forum for the next one in spring '07.
