Greetings.
Some of you will have read my ramblings over the last few days at xbox.com as rabin2005. I've had this newfangled xbox 360 for a week now and already my bank account is regretting it *grumbles* too many games on my want list.
I'm old, really old, and live in Burnley in Lancashire (That's in England, not New England, for any of our former colonists). I'm married and can't get her off Bejewelled 2! My gaming time is suffering as a result and the late nights are killing me, but I have to justify buying those games somehow, don't I?
I'm learning to use fiddly thumb controls to aim at things, and it's taking a while, so Perfect Dark online is going to have to wait a few more days unless there's an easier way of aiming that I don'tknow about!
I've been gaming with a keyboard and mouse since I had my first ST back in 1987ish when I finally laid my 48K to rest after 4 years of hard gaming. *pokes the 360 controller a bit* Weird way to aim guns, I tell ya!
I used to write bots for FPS games, so I know my way round the genre *grins* but the surprising thing about the 360 is that TDU has me slobbering and even FIFA07 has been a surprising find. I've played pretty much nothing but MMOGs and FPS for about 6 years now and am looking forward to expanding my horizons a little, but my wife says I have to buy food and the kids' XMas pressies first *sighs*
Look forward to eventually gaming with some of you.
