Is there some trick to actually killing people in shooters on 360? I find aiming with the r-stick is a nightmare and usually end up putting the cursor somewhere near the enemy and strafing until it's on target so I can shoot them.
Do you just suddenly get better at it? Any tips for improving faster?
I've been playing a bit of PDZ this week and just want to be able to hit an enemy at some point ;D
My first foray into deathmatch was very funny - me jumping around in front of this guy unloading a full clip of SMG at him and then he single headshots me while I'm still moving. *chuckles* I think he was a bit better at this than me. The rest of my team were very friendly and didn't seem to mind me being totally useless though.

Not sure about PDZ but i usually adjust the X&Y sensitivity so that the cursor doesn't fly around to much at the slightest touch, give it a try it might work.

I've never played PDZ, but i guess its like most other fps's. Here are a few techniques which I use, which you might find helpful. 1, Always aim for the head! - As obvious as it sounds, quite a few people aim for the chest, which takes a lot longer to kill people generally (as you found out). 2, Adjusting the X & Y sensitivity - As Shanx said, you'll find it a lot easier if the cursor moves at a speed you are comfortable speed. Once you get to grips with it, you can raise it a bit and so on. 3, Circling/strafing - When effectivly circling an enemy, you only need to adjust the cursor slightly to keep it on the targets head. Strafing is also useful, as you harder to hit than if your just running at the person in a straight line. 4, Speed/Reaction times - It don't matter if you can kill someone from 8 miles away with a sniper rifle, if it takes you 10 minutes to aim! I guess the only way to improve aiming speed and stuff like that is practice. But obviously your reaction time will affect this as well. I guess it is possible to lower (or would it be raise?) your reaction time, but thats far to complex to even worry about so i won't go into that. (Side note: according to my top quality Kirby game I have on my SNES, my reaction time is 0.7 seconds ) I hope this has been some use (except the last bit lol), if it was stuff you already knew, then just ignore it!
