No more aye's does this mean certain people disapprove or could not care less? it would be nice to get feedback from everybody on this.
I have been in contact with several clan hosting sites, just awaiting replys now, please feel free to hunt around also as i may have missed somewhere.

Well you should out of politeness get YAYs from those that went to the effort of setting this site up

To add to previous posting, agree with Lizzie's comments regards approval/assistance from those involved in setting up & maintaining this forum. However, I would happily chip in towards the cost of a proper website (even though I'd still probably look at it once every few months).

Still not heard from you old guard, Biscitt? Max? Camel? Acksaw? Mav? Mr O? red? etc, how do you feel about moving on site/forum wise? at the end of the day it will still be Bluebloods just with a graphical overhaul.

Old guard? Hmmm, you're making me sound like a pensioner, but nonetheless I have been about since when all this was fields (or the Group Of Friends as it was formerly known). New website? Yeah, seems to be the in-thing and great if someone (could be plural) wants to invest not only money, but time. I do have a possible, but probably not an ideal alternative solution... As many of you are doubtlessly aware, myself, and more recently Mr Stuey, are involved with a website www.xboxgamezone.co.uk However, things on there have virtually ground to a halt partly due to lack of new content and also due to the fact that we're hoping to have a big facelift ourselves with a new site, which is already well underway. So, how does this help the Bluebloods? Well, it's purely up to you guys, although it wouldn't be 'Bluebloods' in name, if you guys wanted to move in and respawn a community, it would have Bluebloods at its core. The site will have all the flashy pictures and will continue to be a UK based Xbox community welcoming all and sundry (providing they behave). If the Bluebloods wanted to organise planned events, then I can't see any reason why these couldn't appear on the front page, of course I would have to check with the site owner, but I really can't see it being a problem. The site is complete with a forum and I could easily set up a Blueblood only board within the general board (this has been done for clans in the past). An additional benefit is that the site is a member of the XCN (Xbox Community Network), which basically means that Microsoft will from time to time issue prizes to be won exclusively through the site. The main benefits though, are that the site is already hosted and content will be maintained by myself and others. There could be the opportunity for other Bluebloods to become involved in the site, as I've mentioned, Mr Stuey has got himself involved and even has his first review up on the front page. Of course this is only a suggestion and I can see the prefernce for going for a Blueblood owned site, but as mentioned, someone's got to front the cash for hosting and dedicate regular time for site maintenance. If you do choose this route, I would suggest Wordpress as a decent beginners site building tool, they'll even host and build your site if you want to chuck a few more quid at it. The downloadable web software can be found at www.wordpress.org Alternatively you can go for the 'lite' version, which is all hosted for you, but does include ads etc at www.wordpress.comHope this helps, and apologies for the wall of text, but you did ask...

Bazman is Admin on this site and Cam, Red Special and Mr. B are the original GOFers how do they feel about a new site? We did try one years back but it didn't work needed a lot of time and effort to start up. How you going to administer payments if that is required? PS I have no issues, in principle, with a new site.

Excellent, thanks for that Acksaw and glad your onboard Biscitt, i spoke to Mr O earlier and he has no objections, Bazman i havn't come across isn't he permanently AWOL? but just to get a few things straight what i'm suggesting is a clan site ala muppets stylee nothing major, i'm not talking about demolishing this forum but adding a more stylised BB frontage, iv'e had an email back from ENJIN the guys who host the muppets site and they have two plans one of them is free and the other costs £5 a month the good thing about this of course is that it will still be under the moniker Clan Blueblood.
As for running and looking after the place iv'e already had people offering to help out and i'm more than prepared to chip in with time and money.

Haven't been on for a few days....... but agree we do need a new look. This will generate new interest in the old bones of members. As probably said previously the original founder members would need to be happy with this out of politeness and then CHARGE! I can offer some help at the back end of the weeks as I work nights from sunday to wed so that rules that out. Does the new site need a computer boffin to sort or will they be in a ready to use template style? I am favouring towards the free one then no one is financially tied and end up out of pocket. Assuming this will need to be paid for with banner ads. Any way suming up..... me is happy to change and will help where possible :-)

I hadn't realised Acksaw was so heavily involved with another site actually, and one with about 8000 members as well! crikey! Do I detect that the muppets have some sort of donation type thing going on? £5 a month is absolute peanuts with enough members willing to chip in or even donate? what's the deal with Enjin then for example? Do they create the site for us or do we have to do all the creative work? Sorry I've not had a lot of time to look - I'd be more than happy to test the site if necessary - being a software tester! I could offer a little help if needed but will be away next year. But as a blue blood at heart I am happy to aid my fellow BB's if needed

"Its been a week now since we moved to our new home and this prompted discussion and decisions to be made as we received a premium weeks trial with a lot of additional features that you dont get with the free version. Based on your positive feeback on the look and feel of the site etc, we have decided to continue with the advanced membership. I would personally like to thank Reinholder for paying this first installment so that we can continue to enjoy the fruits of his labour... For at least the next 30 days or so anyway " As you can see they have set up a donations frame on the bottom right of the site using paypal, we could do exactly the same thing if we decided on a premium service and at £5 a month why not, they even have a proper chat room ;D

Did someone mention my name? ;D Hello! I still pop into this forum quite often to catch up on what people are doing, but I'm nowhere near as active a member as I used to be and Cam (my other half) doesn't really game or visit this forum anymore. I also have no issues with a new site/forum, although I would definitely miss this one as I used to spend quite a lot of time on here (as you can tell from my number of posts). I will follow this thread with great interest...
