So it's out later this week, but I was lucky enough to see it last night.
Firstly, it's in Swedish
Secondly, it's 2 and half hours long
Thirdly, it was brilliant.
One of the better book to film transitions. Very close to the book, which is impressive considering how long the book and how complicated the story was.
Quite disturbing in places. For those who haven't read it, the story involves, rape, incest, Nazism, totuture, a hacker and a journalist.

Read the book last year & thought it was great. Did not know there was a film though so I will have to keep an eye out. I think it being in Swedish will be a bonus. No world famous actors who give you preconceptions in the main roles  |

There's rumors of Hollywood remaking it which would be a great, great shame.
As with all book to film transitions you do lose parts, which if you've read it will be obvious (Berger relationship, Armansky and Palgrem don't really get a mention). But the book is very detailed so I don't think you can cover everything even in 2.5 hours.

Thats a bit harsh Mr O i was being sarcastic  I've read the book and found it incredibly enjoyable, in fact its the first book iv'e read i could'nt put down in a long while, iv'e not seen the film but i tend to err on the side of caution with books and films i'm looking at you Phillip Pullman. |
