I'm downloading now. I loved the first game, it was a fine piece of work when it first came out. Unfortunately now that I have a PC that can play it at high settings, there's an issue where the framerate drops to almost unplayable after a few minutes of play, and whilst its a common problem, I've found no fix  I'll let you know later what i think of the demo! |

Can't say I'm thrilled from a tentative first look. The game certainly LOOKS good, with a lot of atmosphere in the visuals, like the first game. However it can't load my sound driver, and the "readme.txt" to which the error refers simply suggests you go to Device Manager and make sure there are no errors showing... so I have no sound.
There's also a tendancy to stutter at intervals, when you enter doors, or when you drop from one floor to the next. The game will freeze for half a second. Its well documented on the forums too.
Still, its a demo... and it does hold promise for a very worthwhile finished game! I just wish I could get the sound going!
