(Looks around nervously) Umm... Hello my name is Paul, I'm 42 and I am pants at console games. I've been a PC gamer for years but last Xmas I got a 360 (so I can play in the bedroom without drowning out the wifes TV).

The good thing about this: I can talk to people on the headphones now! It's easy to use, no more drivers, patches, DirectX etc.

The bad things: The Xbox controller does not seem to work by pushing it around on the table like a mouse! This means I have to learn new co-ordination based skills at my age! Also using the headset seems to mean listening to seven year olds screaming.

So I'm looking for a refuge for my useless skills! I usually play after 8-9ish in the evening when my 3 year old is in bed. I have a sense of humour but cannot type in leet speak and for a long time thought "Being Pwnded" was something to do with chess.

I have currently got both Gears of War, PGR4, Burnout paradise, Halo 3, and Left for Dead (Woolworths going bust netted me a few bargains!)

Oh yes and my Xbox ID is Magnu BSL

Hi Paul, welcome to fun gaming as it shold be. You can't beat swearing at the console claiming it was "bad lag" that caused you to die 25 times and get 4 kills whilst secretly thinking "blimey I was bloody awful in that round, hope nobody noticed" ;D (that was me last night CoD: WaW).

PS Just remembered a wonderful moment on Vegas 2 the other night. In a battle with Movie, that's Messiah to you, which I may have survived. He brought me to tears of laughter by explaining he tried to throw a grenade at me but ended up throwing C4 and putting his goggles on instead. Clan Blueblood gaming at its very best.

i am actually very very good at CoD:WaW - its the lag holding me back really it is ;D

lost count of the times ive killed myself with my own grenade as its bounced back off the nearest wall - im a danger to my own teammates.
