I bought SoulStorm today and am downloading it, and the DoW2 demo. I'll report back in here once I've played them as I don't want to derail the Bargains Thread with discussions.

Dawn of War 2 looks like it'll be great fun, and will be on my BUY list Feels similar to EndWar, but without the neat voice comms. Has all the WH40K units and a couple of nice multiplayer modes (Capture points and Annihilation). You start with a commander and a Squad, capture resource points, create more squads at your base, upgrade your base for better units, etc. and can have 6 players in a MP game. You can also replace any of the player slots in game with an AI controlled opponent, so practising is possible I got my butt kicked against Normal difficulty AI, managed to wipe the floor with Easy AI so I guess I'm between the two at the moment Mind you, against the Normal AI I didn't know how the game worked. The terrain is blow-upable, so you can send in a heavier unit to dig opponents out of cover and then mop them up. Graphics tasty and works with Windows Live - all good so far. (Not tried Soulstorm yet - download went a bit slow)

Okay - Dawn of War (1) Soulstorm report: You have resource management to a degree in this game, but it is achieved by control point acquisition similar to the method they kept for DoW2 MP games. In fact, SS is a great introduction to DoW2 as it teaches you some useful tactics and methods during the tutorial that apply to both games. The squads I played were female space marine types and they kicked arse Great fun, and runs on pretty low spec machines by today's standards. If you like games such as C&C you will feel pretty 'at home' in SoulStorm. If you're a GW 40K fan, buy it! Well worth a punt at £4.25 on Steam atm!

I've been using it for about 2 months now, and had no games that don't work properly except Fallout 3, which seems to be a general problem with it.

Vista is resource hungry, annoying, gets lower frame rates, being replaced by Win7 (based on XP) next year, etc. I hate Vista with a passion and will be glad to get it OFF my other systems once they release Win7 to be honest. I'd replace it now with XP, but a couple of the motherboard components don't have native XP drivers owing to newness and I dislike hacked drivers.
