Currently into the Amon Amarth/Megadeth/Enslaved/Lamb of God etc back catalogues ;D Probably scared everyone off now lol Nice stuff. I just downloaded the entire Megadeth back catalogue (with the exception of 3 albums I already own) and love it. I never got into them back in the day, but really appreciating now what they have done for metal. Not to mention playing along to them is quite a feat, and feels very satisfying

I never rated them at all but Dave Mustaine (?) has gotta be one of the best guitarists / songwriters ever.

Hmmmm, I see we have some metallers in our fold eh? Cool, I like the odd bit of the hard stuff but have to say I only like a few key bands who seem to be accessible to a wider musical audience whilst still being respected by metal fans. I'm thinking of Sepultura whose Chaos AD and Roots are both awesome albums.
Keeping this on topic I've got Machine Heads album The Blackening (strictly speaking I think it was end of 2007 it came out but hey) which I thought was very good.
I guess other good stuff for me would include Tool, Deftones (possibly my favourite metal/rock band ever) Soulfly, System of a Down and a little bit of Lamb of God (starts getting a bit too heavy for me here though).

Ooh ooh, I know, I got one (and no it isn't Britney Spears again ;D ), it's the latest one by Pink, Funhouse. Now there's a lady (?) who just don't care! Love her upbeat semi-rock style and "couldn't care less" attitude.

I would say 3 albums this year have ermm well lets say I like em! Hurt - Volume 2 Disturbed - Indestructible Shinedown - devour Prefer the heavier side usually but nothing this year has been released on that side of the genre that has appealed. Slipknot was very disappointing.

Tool are a superb band. Also A Perfect Circle. James Maynard left the old Tool for a while to sing for these guys. Good albums and excellent live. Shame they are no more
