Bought this on a whim yesterday. Although I've already 4 starred everything on Hard mode, it still has the same replay value as the Xbox equivalents. The music is a pretty good selection. 25 songs (can't complain for a DS cart!) 5 of which are recycled, 20 are brand new to the series. The sound fidelity is obviously low, as anyone who's played any music games on DS will already know, but stick headphones in or use external powered speakers and suddenly it becomes pretty good. The controller was very hard to get o grips with (no pun intended). It slots into the GBA cartridge slot (comes with an adapter for the original DS, which has a deeper slot for GB and GBC cartridges). You hold the DS like a book, with your left hand through a strap and your fingers over the four buttons. This is the bit that takes the most getting used to. On Xbox I move my hands all over the place to cover all 5 notes, shifting up and down the neck as the chords change. On DS your hand is fixed in place, so you have to use the corresponding finger for each note, which does make it a little more complicated at times. I did solve this when playing in bed - I rest the DS on my chest and play without putting my hand through the strap. All in all this is a worthy addition for any GH fan, especially when you can pick it up for £30 in the supermarkets and online. It'll be fun to be able to play La Grange and Black Magic Woman whilst at work too
