Metal Gear Solid 4

I don't own a PS3 but if i was to buy one it would probably be for this game. MGS on the PS1 was one of my favorites games of all time and going from the reviews of this one it looks like it is something very special. I was always gutted that i never played and completed Snake Eater on my own(Never owned a PS2,) but this time i feel like I'm doing myself an injustice as a gamer!

So who is getting then?

Had this on pre-order since the PS3 was announced. This will make or break the machine as far as my ownership is concerned. If I don't like it or don't play it, because of the allure of the xbox then I'll be flogging my PS3 60 giga.

I think it would have to be a must buy for any PS3 owner.

Didn't any of you guys play the Online demo/beta? Had some very interesting looking team gameplay elements.

One of my mates got the game yesterday. Other then a brief "It's amazing" chat on msn i havn't heard from him since. I think he's hooked!

I fell for the hype with MGS2, and left very disappointed. All the things they added to make it more real, made it more boring. Not to mention that it took only a weekend to complete.

I haven't played any since, but basically MGS2 destroyed the PS2 for me. The emotion engine, the "next gen" graphics, it all came together as no upgrade over the first game (except the graphic resolution) and left me jaded. Then Xbox came along, and all thoughts of buying future Playstation products left me behind.

got mgs4 and imo its one of the best games ive played. its also great fun online, i thought i would be naff with all the hype but im generally very impressed with it.theres a lot of cut scenes which look great but im more into the action so i skip most of them.

Yep i can finally agree this game is superb! Played and watched at my Pals house lastnight, it's great and i can now agree with the top end review scores.

It is truely a game that can show off the PS3.

just to update.been on game many hours now and must say this is the best game ive played on any format its stunning the online is brilliant too,it just drags you in, graphics are truly next gen and it runs so so smoothly. in game chat online works great it runs on knomais own servers and i have had no lag or probs getting into rooms and there are a multitude of game types all great fun.if you have a ps3 this game is a must.

Hmmm, Xbox is dead, money in the bank, should I blow it on a PS3 + MGS4, I'm very tempted!!!!!

i'm no ps3 fanboy the xbox is a brilliant if tempramental piece of kit with its own great exclusives and live still rocks but if you own a ps3 this is the game that i think might save its bacon its been a long wait for us sad ps3 owners to have a great game, a long long wait lol.

Anyone know how you get to read/view playboy? The ipod in game is a great touch too - listening to podcasts etc!!!

Figured out the playboy issue - nice touch - the story is good too. Wish I hadn't bought it now because I can see my 360 gamerscore challenge going seriously to pot!!!
