Thats a nice looking connection you got there... Yeh not too shabby at all, fat lot of good it did me on Gears last night, I cannot understand why that game is soooo laggy compared to other online games.

Thats not good lizziekins, apart from the ping that is, Don't know if you're a Sky subscriber, but they do some good deals, Sky Mid (up to 8 meg, nearer 6 mind) at a tenner a month is good for me.

My Broadband while never the quickest was always very stable. Having a little 'geek' inside me I periodically check what I am getting for the £'s handed over every month. Download speed was stable @ 1.25 mps, below are some of the recent activities, Today 08:38 1794 kbps (224kB/s) 371 kbps (46.4kB/s) Share Yesterday 13:22 1226 kbps (153kB/s) 340 kbps (42.5kB/s) Share Monday 10:02 1492 kbps (187kB/s) 367 kbps (45.9kB/s) Apr 30, 08:57 1016 kbps (127kB/s) 373 kbps (46.6kB/s) Apr 25, 18:08 1172 kbps (147kB/s) 374 kbps (46.8kB/s) Apr 17, 15:37 2295 kbps (287kB/s) 375 kbps (46.9kB/s) Apr 14, 17:26 1878 kbps (235kB/s) 359 kbps (44.9kB/s) Apr 11, 14:02 1199 kbps (150kB/s) 372 kbps (46.5kB/s) With new adsl rolling out in June, and the governments targe tof 2 mps for us, it would appear that I on course The point of this ramble is we may all suffer some interuptions/connectivety issues while they install and test the new adsl

Nice For anyone wishing to improve the speed of their connection, I'd recommend purchasing one of these for £10.99 + P&P www.adslnation.com/products/xte2005.phpI got one last week and it boosted my download speed from 4MB to 6MB great bit of kit, as you say easy to install and a quick improvement on DL speed

If you already have a fast connection and therefore a good filter this could make your current connection speed slower! The shielded modem cable is however a very good idea and I'll be getting one of those from Dabs.

Sky, Yes there are some strange comments posted...but! This plate has the same filters in you get with your modem / from BT shop etc but what it dose separately and which the normal filters don't do is Isolates the Bell wire( from the old bell telephones) that all (oldish/new modern) houses and the lines coming into them away from your Adsl connection, this then stops/reduces the radio interference picked up by this bell wire and improves stability of the line by reducing the noise margin.

This is wat i get using ie. but get a lower result (about 2.3 mb) wen using the actual Aol software? weird. Also says isp is carphonewarehouse wen on Ie and then says aol on their software, so got 2 Isp's ? Have set my xbox manually to one isp address on my router and put it in the "DMZ" so this will help any party issues and lag on Live. Set Splitting Saturn up with the Dmz as he is on Aol as well and he went from having one red dot on Cod 4 ping bar to full green! So shows it works! ;D
