Hello all I told a few of you about this website thing. it's basically a world library where you can trace any book you have the unique ID number of. you can go into a place like Cafe Rumba in Maidstone, & there's a book shelf with books people have left. most of them have been registered to this website. You take book home, register on website, check the book ID & you can who's had it, & where it has been. & when you leave it somewhere after reading it, where it goes after! I love that idea Here's the page - www.bookcrossing.com/You could get a book that has travelled the world! Maybe even one I've read....

Hello Cam, did you join? couldn't find you as a 'friend'? what's your log in ID is it something like Cam? look forward to seeing what goes on.... my friend who introduced me to it (Lord_Trotsky, also does the badges) says, it take AGES when you leave a book to see when it gets 'picked up' and acknowldged..... Can't wait to release my first book!

I think this a brilliant idea I've noticed there are 3 people in Barnoldswick, where I live, registered.
Trouble is I find it really hard parting with my books.

I found that site has a forum, under community so you could ask about leaving the book in a 'promonent' place. or you can PM someone in your area to ask advice. Thanks Cam I'll add you, maybe it's gotta be done both ways? Biscitt you can add me if you like - ProfessorMoog (no spaces, capitols P & M) ;D (sorry Cam you ARE showing under - 'friend of' !)

Go to a second hand book shop, find a duplicate of one of your books, leave that to the world & see what happens then you might get the urge to do it for real later on, or simply hate the idea! ;D

Haven't registered yet Moog. I'm sitting here looking at my books now thinking, like Cam,I might want to read that again or that's really cheap pulp fiction bit embarrassing to release that etc., etc... It's so difficult!
