My mrs recently got My French Coach for £15, and it actually seems like quite a good learning system. So, I went out and bought My Spanish Coach, which was £20 in Zavvi, as her mum is coming to stay for the month of May and speaks only Spanish.
Its a very good tool for learning the language. I started out with a knowledge of several words but not much else, and in just a couple of hours I'm stringing together sentences and impressing my girlfriend (who also obviously speaks spanish natively).
You go through a series of lessons, designed so you read and hear the words you're learning, all set up in categories, and you can even record yourself and play it back, overlayed with the nice young lady who is teaching you, to check your pronunciation. You then must complete games to confirm that you've learned those words then move onto the next lesson.
There's also a phrase book, which you can browse, and it shows the written words AND speaks them out loud for you. Its gonna come in handy when we go to Barcelona with her mum, and for the times I'm on shifts and have to sit with her while the other half's at work still!
So, anyone thinking of learning a language, this isn't a bad way to do it. Game, Gamestation, and Zavvi all have the games in their 2 for £30 deals, although sadly for me one shop had the beginner game, and the other had the intermediate level, but neither had both!!

Haha i thought you a said naughty word! (Karma Sutra game, whatever next!) I do own a DS and do like the idea of these self teach games/software. Apparently in Japan they are really big on the self improvment games and have them in the hundreds for the DS! (We like shooting/killing ) Thanks for the recommendation. Could be very fun and handy for Holidays indeed!
