Now available - you can exchange your Club Nintendo VIP Star Points for Wii Shop points, instead of for useless tat like Donkey Kong PC wallpapers...
I just did my first transaction, however I am sad to report that they have made it very difficult and annoying to do. There is only a limited amount of each denomination of points available (meaning all I could buy was a 100 points card - the cheapest NES game costs 400 points!) and they limit you to 1 transaction per day!
So, I'll have to go on tomorrow and hope there's a 1000 points card I can get, which is the cost of a N64 game on the Wii Shop. I have 11,000 points to spend, so I can see this taking some time.
Additionally, now when you register the Club Nintendo product code, for EVERY game you register you have to go through a ridiculous survey about how many people will play your copy of the game, how old they are, and have you played any other games in the last 12 months. Well obviously I have, because I just registered another 5 right before this one!
