Well, walking into work this morning and every shop on Manchesters high street has lots of these things for sale, no queues.
Now does this mean
a) people are not buying it b) they all queued at midnight and so no queues left now c) Sony have millions of the things and they've launched properly
Also, how many have been sold world wide so far? does anyone know

I suspect the answer is A.
Got to admit I have no desire to go & buy one at the moment - even if the price was lower.

I would go for A as well. I notice a load of people have bought them hoping to fleece people on e-bay and they are not selling at all.

A is a definate.
I went into Game at Meadowhall last night and asked them if i wanted one would i have to queue up for 12midnight opening, the manager replied "No sir, you will not, we have not managed to sell anywhere near our stock intake for the PS3, you may come in tomorrow and buy a pack off the shelf, we will have loads left" that was his exact words. I smiled and walked away. I will probably purchase one at sometime but not at the stupid price that it is at the moment even if i could afford it.

I think its a cross between A and C. As I am good friends with the manager of my local Choices store. He said on friday that they sold all but one of the 24 (I think it was) consoles they had in. I think Sony have taken the extra time to met the demand.

Got to remember that a lot of people order off the net nowadays. Most if not all of the websites offering preorders sold out in the first hour. With a 3 month delay in Europe, i'm not surprised there is plenty of stock available.
I've been playing my friends PS3 over the weekend and it's a very nice bit of hardware. Only two good games out for it at the moment - Motorstorm and Fall of man(Both with very good FREE online play... Xbox L!VE look out!)
Motorstorm looks and plays fantastic!

Indeed m8 this could be xbox live's down fall if theres free online play through PS3 then people may start to fall to the dark side. But then again its only £39.99 for Gold Membership for the year ;D
