Ok, I've never planned on buying one of these, thatis until I hit south east asia, where it's already out, it's about 140-150 quid and the games are about 25 quid each So with holiday money burning a hole in my pocket and no birthday gift as yet this could be bought before the end of the holiday Does anyone have any comments? advice on games? Should I buy one and sell it on Ebay either at a bigmark up ? (I'll not bother this option) but I could perhaps get someone else one + game and charge you only the cost price if interested (will have to check finances at the end of holiday but can't see it being a problem)

Out of the three things I have on my list to get this trip (should I have money left at the end) are now, a pcoket size digital camera, an Ipod and a PSP in that order.. I'm less convinced on the PSP now but I Have big hands so that shouldn't be a problem
All PSPs are region free for games and only region coded for the DVDs that you can play on them

If you have money to throw away then get one, I don't see the point, you still pay the same price for games as you do for xbox/ps2, plus you pay for movies which you can only play in the psp!! I for one think the graphics etc are good, but I have an xbox to play games and prefer to spend my money on a 360 and games you don't have to strain to see if it's sunny etc, plus how long will it be before it get's damaged or scratched?

if you have a psp and want a memory card for it go to woolworths , they have the 1gig card reduced from 99.99 to 49.99 , even so the card is worth getting just to use as storage for your pc stuff . also people keep taking the pee out of the psp battery lasting not to long ...... hhhmmmmm

I have on as well, I mainly use it for watching my Ice Hockey on it on my bus journeys to/from work. I have some software that enables me to convert DVD movies and such so I can put them on a memory card.

Depends on the size of the memory card and how small you convert them. I tend to use 2Gig mem cards and I don't tend to shrink my Hockey games to much, but you can shrink movies to about 500 meg, so that would be about 2 on a 1 gig card and 4 on a 2 gig card.
