now here this!!!
i used to be good at games once upon a time , i was the business at r-type , a killer at track n field , could last over 3 minutes on dragons lair and could complete super don quixote (laserdisc game , bet you dont remember that one!!) and also finish all my amiga , c64 and spectrum games but.....
can i frag more than 2 or 3 people on halo.....no , can i get anywhere near the top on flatout......no , can anyone but a 3 year old child beat me on virtua fighter 5.....yes!!!
it is this that has led me down the path to this forum and b'jesus!!!!!... i hope that there is someone...i mean someone that not only pity's me but also has sympathy......
let me know if you either want to spit on my self pity or wish to join me on my crusade for happy gaming....

Ahh! I remember those days. Though I'd find myself playing Boot Hill and Supersprint rather than those modern Laserdisk contraptions. I must admit I liked a bit of Mad Dog McCree.
Though you are a superior being... I couldn't for the hell of it get through the first level of R-Type. I couldn't get out of the first room on Dragon's Lair, Track and Field hurt my fingers too much so I gave up.
The rest is shall we say history. I find my own speciality is possibly Flatout... I say that because it's one of the games mentioned that I'm not totally crap at.

Ah a fellow gamer that feels out of place in the modern world, welcome to your resting place amongst others with the same problem.
From the past a game I remember fondly because I could last ages on it was Chuckie Egg on the spectrum. ahhh memories.

although i prefered chuckie egg 2.
and i feel welcome , so welcome i have pulled on my slippers and have my smoking jacket on!!

And has anyone bought mass effect , is it life consuming , it looks it.
AAnd and and , if you havent sampled puzzle quest , then do so , its as addictive as cheap heroin!!!

Ha ha, I was never a big beastie boy fan back in the day.. It was too much guitar for my poor lickle ears back then. Plus all the knobs (no offence to anyone here who may have done this) wiv VW signs round their necks/stuck to their coats made me wanna distance myself from them even more.
Only recently revisited some of their stuff such as Paul's Boutique..
i got bitches in my livin room gettin it on , and they aint leavin till 6 in da mo'nin!!!
