Hi all,
Found your forum via the Xbox live forums, and had to visit, because it sounds like my kind of place. Is it true? Are there ‘older’ gamers here? People who actually don’t care that much about their gamerscore points? (well, I kind of care, but I’d rather complete a game fully than have a stack of gamer points.) People who would rather play online for fun and meeting people, rather than just to shout ‘owned you newbie’ loudly at you? (And then get very annoyed when you ‘own’ them). Is it really true? Because, y’know, it sounds too good to be true…
Well, I suppose I should say a little about myself. I’m in my early thirties (and very EARLY thirties. If you mention it, don’t forget the EARLY part. It’s important.). I’m married with children, gave up a job to do a degree that I’m finishing this year, and I really enjoy playing video games. I play a lot, and don’t discriminate between consoles or manufacturers - a good game is a good game.
I’ve currently thoroughly addicted to Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and despite having ‘finished’ it, I’ve dived back in, in an attempt to complete it. I can most often be found on live either cursing the DOA lag, wondering why every american kid must race in the Ferrari F40 in Project Gotham, looking for another three people to play Gauntlet with, or playing the Infection variant with Perfect Dark Zero.
For 360, (along with the games mentioned above) I have Condemned, Mutant Storm reloaded, Marble Blast Ultra, Smash TV, Robotron: 2084, Crystal Quest.
I’m also currently undecided about Burnout and GRAW; I’ve played the demo’s, but still can’t seem to make up my mind.
I would have to say I’m most looking forward to ‘Dead Rising’, although Chrome Hounds looks very interesting, and Street Fighter is a must buy.
So then, that’s me. My gamertag is ArkenMint. Hiya. And I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
(And by the by, how do you get those funky resized gamertags in your sigs?)
