No silly replies now peeps, this is a serious question. i have been playing Rainbow six for ages and my aim is not that much better from when I started. There are some people who seem to be wearing steel pants. Can anyone give me some usefull tips to improve my aim please

Ok, so I know you said no daft answers and I'm sorry if this is stating the obvious, but here goes... The best way I've found to improve your aim is to adjust the X/Y sensitivity of your controller, (i.e. try making the scroll speed faster/slower ) This can be done either in game or via the dashboard setup and it's pretty much a case of trial and error until you get the setting that's right for you. Then as your skill improves, you simply adjust the sensitivity to match you improvements....

You seemed to be doing alright last night Mell....hate that MP9. Short burst fire is the only thing I can suggest. The recoil when firing long bursts is too great to make it an accurate shot - although if you start shooting in the nether regions (oo-er) and let the recoil take the aim up to head

Mel, I've seen you play and you ain't all that bad. (unless we are on the vault ) I always find the best way is to use the cover feature, and make sure you have your gun aimed where you want it. So each time you pop your head around the cover you can snap off a shot with out having to aim to much. Also don't go for long burst as they will miss.

Is is my failing memory or has there been a patch recently to fix how some of the guns work?
Some of the submachine guns seem terribly accurate over long distances whereas the sniper rifles (at least in my hands) serve no purpose other than to annoy people.
PS Haven't played Vegas for a week or so due to Crackdown addiction and lack of telly time.

A new patch has just been released. The SMG’s are now no longer as accurate over long distances, the AR’s are even better than before (I now get more kills with my beloved MTAR).
Also Sniper rifles are more powerful and accurate and the Shotguns have had the distance they are accurate over reduced.

Well thanks for that peeps. As for your little dig about the Vault Charmed, I think we should have a 1-1 grudge match, once and for all. I think you just get lucky with me in there hehe.

trying to tempt a few into getting blackarrow,,come on bics help like You know I'm always around for some BA David. Rigid stopped the regular Sunday night because few were turning up. Perhaps a different night can be arranged Friday or Saturday maybe when people can stay up late.
