biccy i got an excellent picture sounds crackling a bit tho tried moving them around doesnt make much diff can you use the sky remote on the portable? thought u cud

biccy i got an excellent picture sounds crackling a bit tho tried moving them around doesnt make much diff can you use the sky remote on the portable? thought u cud If your units are transceivers i.e. they transmit and receive you should be able to use your remote to change channel via the TV. Does you transceiver use an infra red signal to trigger the remote? You may have to align the unit attached to the sky box so that the sky baox can read the signal it flashes. OK I know that sounds complicated but it's not. I had to use a little stick on infra red LED thingy near the infra red detector on the sky box then plug that into the back of the transceiver. God wish I could see the set up it would be so much easier.

PS David the thing with these wireless set-ups is that they are prone to interference. I've had my channels changed by someone else in the road and my 360 is so badly shielded it interferes really badly even when switched off it just has to be plugged in So your crackling could be external interference or aerial adjustment. Don't like the sound of your 360 were you still having problems saving games? That could have been the first symptom of failure
