Managed to pick up a PS3 yesterday - am now on their equivalent of live (which doesn't seem as good) as DingusSAE ... be my friend!

So far i've been quite impressed with it ... it will obviously never match the 360 in terms of online play. But I quite like the store, and the fact you don't have to buy Points to buy Games too.
My PS3 was £299 from Choices with a free game - unfortunately the game was PES 08 - but when I got to the counter they didn't have any left so I left with Heavenly Sword - kaching!

Took the plunge and got one myself today. Don't remember being quite so bad on Motorstorm when I played it at my mate's house. Looks there's already a SuperLeeds on there so my PSN tag is TinksNo3.

I'm getting to a point where I'm thinking that getting a PS3 is a good idea..... Microsoft dropping the HDDVD and Bluray winning the HD war.
Finally I can start replacing my sealed DVDs with Bluray disks which I may watch.

I've now got a PS3 - don't know what I'm doing with it yet - my god its huge - bigger than the 360 - its a LOT quieter though. What's with having to "install" games like a pc?  |

I've had a PS3 since they came out (same gamertag/friend name as 360 and above) and don't ever remember having to install a game except those that you download from the online store. All games I've got are played from the disc same as 360. Anyone with a PS3 please feel free to send me friend invite  |

I did MrO!! The graphics are better than any 360 game I have - PR4 comes close. The handling is strange to get used to again after playing lots of Forza. I'd say that Forza has the edge so far on handling. I'm getting to grips with the thing now and some of the features are class - the remote play using my PSP has amazed me.. Wireless and Bluetooth/ web browser and bluray its going to get used but can't see it being used as much online due to the fact that the 360 does it better. GT5 even though on a disc has to install which is a bit weird) The update system is pants / download/install agree to something etc etc - A lot easier on the 360 - turn it on - it updates - thats it. Did I say it was quiet? IT IS!!!!!

It's very quiet, especially compared to the 360, and I'm glad Blu-ray won the HD battle as well. I don't tend to play the PS3 as much as I do the 360 but if more peeps are gonna get it and play that's fine by me. Got CoD4 for the PS3 and hardly touched it (and R6V) as have been playing them more on the 360 'cos so was everyone else?! Is there a thread anywhere on these boards where we can list what games we have so everyone knows what you can play online or not? Would be handy if there isn't, no point inviting someone on your friends list to a game they don't have!
