yeh its amazing how quick the bobbles wear down on the sticks. had a new pad at xmas n the ones on the leftstick have pretty much gone already!

You must have sandpaper fingers! I still have the pad that came with my Xbox, January 2006, and there's no sign of wear, and I use it plenty between my PC and my Xbox!

I put some of those caps on yesterday. Same as DandyMountfarto, the bobbles on my left stick have worn off since Christmas. First impression are great, certainly more grippy with these fitted.

Bought some too - no bobbles had worn on mine though - still, the new caps are much better and work great on the PS3 controller too.
